As each holiday approaches, over on The Dating Divas, we try to think of special ways to make our spouse feel loved. Easter is usually about the kids, right? Well, not THIS Easter! We’ve hit upon a few winners that we would love to share with you!
Grab some scrapbooking paper, candy, and we will provide the rest! These adorable carrot containers paired with the free downloadable printable will bring a smile to your spouse’s face! You can fill an Easter Basket with these paper carrots and your man’s favorite treat AND if you are currently apart, this would be the perfect Easter surprise to ship to him!
Another spin on an Easter Basket would be to fill it with “sexier” items! Lingerie, a fun bedroom game, candles & bubble bath items, Easter eggs with surprises in them! Anything you can think of that would provide a romantic evening for just the two of you – place in the basket. Since this isn’t a basket to really share with the kids, wait until they are in bed and then break out the **special** basket! He will LOVE it!
Let’s chat about date night for a minute! We are ALL about dating our spouse and trying to get away from doing the same ole “dinner & a movie” routine every weekend. Don’t get me wrong… we LOVE going to movies! {Wasn’t Hunger Games amazing?} BUT – there is just something about being creative, thinking outside the box, and creating unforgettable memories that takes place when we put a little more effort in. With such nice weather everywhere, our “Spring Olympics” date night would be a fun idea to put together. Believe it or not, but basic items around your very own house will come in handy when you hold your VERY first Olympics Games!
If you wanted to stick closer to the Easter theme of the month, then this date idea would be perfect! Start off by leaving your sweetheart a note letting him know that you are “DYING to go on a date with him” as a lead-in to that night’s dying of eggs. The night will be guided by a carton of plastic eggs – each egg filled with a paper revealing the next item on the agenda. There are plenty of ideas in this post to get you started but feel free to come up with your own! You could even put together a Spring Sports basket filled with all sorts of fun outdoor activities! The Easter basket could be the end to your night, or the beginning so you can use those sporty treats as part of your activities!
