Making the $$$

Postby Leah » Sun Apr 05, 2009 6:37 pm

Well, it's not exactly as the subject makes it sound, but did you know that you volunteer hours, when logged into the Army One Souce VMIS system properly, can actually bring money back into you military community. I believe each volunteer hour equals out to about $12. That's a TON of money when you add up each volunteer and their time. Whether you serve at Army Community Service, MWR, Army Family Team Building, Relocation, ANYWHERE. Just be sure to log those hours through your Volunteer Coordinator or the Army One Source website. If you have 1 hour or 40 hours a week/month to give, please do! It's makes a better post and community for us all!

For more questions regarding the VMIS system call your local ACS for the next 1 1/2 hour class.

Good point, Leah! I forgot about that. I wanted to add that if you volunteer with ANY organization on post that you can add your hours in. I remember doing this when I was a Girl Scout leader at Ft. Bragg.

OO that is interesting. I was never taught how to log in any hours for the FRG.
