AWTR Show #756: “The World Looks Different Now”

Welcome to an empowering episode of Army Wife Talk Radio. Today, we are talking with Margaret Thomson, a journalist who has written a memoir about the suicide of her older son, who was a medic in the Army. Her memoir, The World Looks Different Now, recounts a mother’s journey through grief following her son’s suicide. While on this journey, Thomson is forced to deal with the Army, about which she knows little. Some of these encounters are negative, while others are surprisingly positive. During the course of her journey, Thomson becomes increasingly empowered as her writing gradually takes shape and eventually becomes a book.
